Biography

I work for Fleishman-Hillard International Communications in Sydney Australia. Everything posted on this blog is my personal opinion and does not necessarily represent the views of my employer or its clients.

Life has a unique way of unfolding. I recently reurned to Sydney, Australia to continue my hi-tech public relations career, which funny enough, I began here as a copywriter for various radio stations where I penned the first radio advertising campaign for Amstrad computers.

Upon returning to the United States in 1993 I did public relations and marketing duties for a leading toy and game company before joining the high technology public relations ranks in the emerging Silicon Valley. During the early dot-com days I held senior public relations positions with both multi-national companies and start ups, including Novell with newly appointed CEO Eric Schmidt, (now CEO of Google), and CacheFlow, (now BlueCoat Systems.)

In the late nineties I was recruited by USWeb/CKS, (later marchFIRST), to help establish their San Francisco based public relations office.

In 2002 I formed Hollywood by the Bay, a unique ‘edu-tainment’ company that produced conferences for screenwriters allowing them to interact with Hollywood producers and writing professionals to better understand the art, craft and business of screenwriting.

In 2006 I returned to marketing and public relation as a consultant to various companies and public relations agencies. In 2007 I joined Spiralgroup, a social media/marketing consultancy, as vice president of business development. Currently I live in Sydney and the San Francisco Bay Area.
